A fish thought | Akira Muto and colleagues imaged neuronal activity in the zebrafish larval brain as it is tracking a paramecium, its favorite meal. Read more about their findings here.

BIOL3240: INTRODUCTION TO CELLULAR NEUROBIOLOGY

Every fall semester, Sophie teaches BIOL3240: Introduction to Cellular Neurobiology. If you are interested in the brain and its inner workings, please join us. We will be reviewing fundamental concepts in neurobiology, we will learn about the people as well as the experiments behind these concepts and we will discuss primary research papers showing new advances in the field. Although there are no prerequisites for the class, we strongly encourage students to first take BIOL2020. A will to learn about fundamental research is also a plus.
